VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT LINCOLN PARK ZOO

Come any day to the zoo, and you are likely to find dozens of volunteers on duty. You'll find docents assisting with zoo educational programs or answering visitors' questions about wildlife at the various animal houses. Volunteers staffing the Kovler Lion House and Gateway Pavilion Information Centers distribute strollers, maps and tips on what to see. Behind the scenes, volunteers assist keepers and staff, through tasks as varied as filing medical records at the Kroc Animal Hospital to weighing food for a study at the McCormick Bird House. Volunteers plant gardens; assist in the Zoo Shops; fulfill memberships and A.D.O.P.T. an Animal requests; catalogue books at the Zoo Library; share interesting animal facts at Curiosity Carts; and stroll the zoo grounds as roving Guest Guides.
